2017 Wattle Range Youth Recognition Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2017 Youth Recognition Awards. Attached is the Nomination Form that you can use to nominate someone you know you know living in the Wattle Range Council area, or share with others in your networks.

This year’s award categories are:

Contributions To The Community / Community Involvement Award
Recognises an individual aged between 12-18 years who has made a positive contribution to the community, has volunteered their time to help others and/or is an active member of the community (Volunteering with community group/school).

Helping Out Family and/or Friends
Recognises an individual aged between 12-18 years who has assisted tirelessly a family or friend in need.

Learning Success (continual improvement)
Recognises an individual aged between 12-18 years who works to continually improvement themselves or assists others in learning outcomes.

Employment Achievement whilst learning (e.g. new initiative, facing a job/ training challenge)
Recognises an individual aged between 12-18 years whose innovation and ideas have been recognised by peers.

Overcoming Challenging Life Situation Award
Recognises an individual aged between 12-18 years who has turned a negative situation into a positive. They have had the courage to get through a bad situation and show great resilience and determination. This person is someone who inspires others.

Completed forms can be dropped off in person at any Wattle Range Council office, emailed to council@wattlerange.sa.gov.au with subject line Youth Recognition Awards or posted to PO Box 27 Millicent SA 5280.

The nomination period will close at 5:00pm Wednesday 22 March 2017.

The 2017 Youth Recognition Awards Presentation Night will be held Wednesday 5 April from 6:00-8:00pm in Penola.
